   Daehyun woke up, naked and covered by a light blanket thrown over tangled limbs. Jaemin’s hair spilled over the pillow as he remained blissfully unaware of the morning and Daehyun… Daehyun started to panic. Last night had not been a mistake. Every touch, every kiss, every praise, every caress had had meaning. Jaemin had confessed his attraction and Daehyun welcomed it in spite of himself. He pressed kisses to his skin and soothed the burn of their union with tender hands and a warm embrace.

   That hadn’t been just sex and Daehyun didn’t know what to do with this knowledge.

   He wasn’t just some demon that could get to do whatever he wanted—his head had a price, and his plans were too ambitious for a half-human… to top it all, he had just dragged Jaemin into all of this, a newborn vampire who had forever ahead. How selfish could he get? 

   The curtains kept all light outside but Daehyun’s eyes could make out Jaemin’s body line. Even now, his heart raced at the knowledge of how his skin felt under his fingertips. Fire licked their skin as marks were left in otherwise unblemished skin. He had claimed the younger, but the vampire had placed his mark on him too. 

   It occurred to him he could still run away. He could get up, be the asshole he could be, and deny anything that Jaemin’s bright eyes could throw his way about what this all meant for them in the long run—but he didn’t. How could he when Jaemin had trusted him like this? He could break anyone’s heart, but not Jaemin’s, not on purpose.

   Daehyun lay down again, curling around the younger’s body as he pressed a kiss to his shoulder. ❛ Wake up, I’m hungry, ❜ he teased, the tip of his nose nuzzling the vampire’s cheek.

   Daehyun stared at the phone screen for a long moment before a little smile touched his lips. While the person before him kept talking, Daehyun took a moment to look to the right before he let his gaze wander to the left exactly to the spot where Jaemin would usually be when he took a small break after a wave in a busy Friday. ‘lo and behold, there he was, eyebrows furrowed and expression pinched. 

   The son of Lucifer entertained the idea of driving the younger madder but another part of him —the one that already knew that the younger could feel hurt easily, quenched down the fleeting idea. Instead, he just gave his target one sultry smile as he excused himself under the pretense of getting them new drinks. 

   Before he approached the younger man from behind, he took a good look around just to see if there were any important eyes on his movements but there’s nothing that stood out. Humming, he typed a quick response as he leaned into the counter, just where Jaemin would usually keep his spot clean only for him.

   ❛If you are not jealous, why do you keep looking at my date like they are your enemy?❜ he questions, the smile on his lips widening without him noticing it. Big eyes that may seem guileless to strangers are bright, sparks of mischief lightning them up from the inside. ❛Before you keep denying it, you may want to do something about that pout you are sporting.❜

   Daehyun looked up, large eyes widening at the sudden declaration. His throat was parched and whatever teasing remark he wanted to let out was lost somewhere in his brain where he could no longer access anymore. ❛ What? ❜ he mumbled, a nervous almost-smile overtaking handsome features.

   but he knew what he had heard and he knew what Benz expression was saying.

   even if both were covered in grime, even if Benz was exhausted after using all his power to not let Daehyun die, even if Daehyun’s clothes were torn and they had left behind people Daehyun spared no mercy on, this remark lingered. words were fine trails of warmth teasing his senses, making lips tingle at the memory of other shared kisses. their faces were closed, Daehyun noticed, pupils dilating as hazel hues fell on pretty, pink lips.

   Daehyun was amused. The place was not an entire mess like he'd have expected it to be given the unhinged night it was supposed to have happened. Jaemin was the only one semi-conscious soul in the whole establishment though, the rest of his employees already curled up on chairs, the bar, and even the floor. ❛ Do you imagine I’m around you often when you’re drunk? ❜ he teased, eyebrows raising.

   but when Jaemin tried to get the bottle, he shook his head and grabbed him gently to keep him in his arms—as far as possible from another regret. ❛ Didn’t you say you’d answer to my texts? ❜ he questioned. ❛ How long have you been a vampire? How do you keep getting this drunk with so little? ❜ And really, it was quite shameless of him to say something like that when he got drunk easily too. But that’s why he didn’t go around drinking more than a bottle. Besides, he sobered up easily too—or so he told himself. ❛ Nothing will happen them if they stay. Let them so they clean up in the morning. ❜ Letting go briefly of the younger’s shoulders, he took off his jacket and put it around the smaller frame. ❛ Come on, I will take you to your home. ❜

   Daehyun stares at the youngling, big eyes fixed on similar round ones. Is he shocked? Is he pissed? Is he amazed? Is he all of the above? Someone whistles in his mind —Haeil, the cousin who never minds his own business. The son of Lucifer can even swear he can hear him laughing somewhere close.

   Pressing the tip of his tongue against his cheek, he steps back and brushes off the shorter’s hand. ❛ Do you have a death wish? ❜ eyebrows furrow as a little smile peeks at the corner of his lips. Is he amused? What a contradiction of things you can feel around someone so… unexpected. But Daehyun will not come off as a whiny idiot, he’s not Haeil. He is curious though. ❛ Just tell me what brings you here today of all days. Isn’t the sun coming up soon? You are not staying, by the way, that’s final. ❜

   there was near no space between their faces. That sole inch was getting harder to ignore too. It didn’t matter that neon lights were blasting around, blinding. Didn’t matter the loud music, the explicit lyrics, the sound of people getting trashed and forgetting about consequences. Daehyun was supposed to keep his eyes on the target: a warlock who may have the power he needed to open a portal inside a vault he had to visit and who already had said 'no’. 

   he listened to Jaemin’s voice like it was too far away, pupils dilating as the hand splayed over the small of the younger’s back brought him just a tad closer. ❛ is it? ❜ he dared to question, pulled in by the magnetism of captivating round eyes and red, plush lips. Had they danced for too long in the tightrope of attraction? Would Daehyun find it in himself to fall? 

   but he had, hadn’t he? There had been kisses almost exchanged before, when Jaemin was drunk and had no more filters holding him back—when they went to the amusement park and Jaemin fell in his arms and their noses brushed as he caught him—when Jaemin smiled openly at him, that adoration almost sweet in his mouth… ❛ yet you are getting closer. ❜ and he was, too, not that he’d admit it.

   ❛ you were right. you break everything you touch. ❜

   Daehyun doesn’t look back at Benz. how could he? he doesn’t give a fuck about what anything anyone has to say. he doesn’t owe explanations, doesn’t owe shit to anybody who glances his way —except Benz, maybe. to this day, Daehyun cannot say if that is good or bad. the younger seems like he’s made up his mind though and the redhead cannot blame him.

   ❛ then why are you getting all upset over things you should’ve expected? ❜ he scoffs, arms crossed as he keeps his gaze on the door, an almost pout forming on a petulant mouth. lips tremble with the unsaid so he bites on the inside of his cheek until he draws blood. serves him well. it’s past the time he should’ve walked out of Benz’ life for good, leave him alone to fix the things Daehyun broke on his wake. 

   there have been too many but’s lingering for either of them to take the final step though. this is where they stand now, a broken relationship, two sides barely co-existing, a war in the middle with truces based on threads that cannot sustain this bridge between them anymore. Daehyun does not want to see Benz in the eyes, see disappointment there yet again. all he knows is how to break things and others, be it for personal gain or fun. 

   Daehyun shifts his weight from one foot to the other. ❛ i’ll move out next weekend, ❜ he says at last. working as a waiter is still a shitty job and perhaps he would get more money if he knew how to keep his mouth shut and look pretty. there’s not enough nice bones in his body to be so gracious though, you can ask Benz anytime. so back to theft it is, then. ❛ you will not rat me out, right? ❜

   it is what it is until it isn’t. Daehyun stares at the vampire, charmed by the pure red clinging to the depths of usually whiskey hues. Jaemin’s expression is not playful as it usually is. The small hairs at the Nephilim’s neck raise—it’s unmistakable: The knowledge of being observed by a predator. Perhaps, if Daehyun were just a mere mortal, he wouldn’t find this situation exhilarating alas they are who they are and blood—blood does not lie.

   Daehyun’s long fingers take a gentle grasp of Jaemin’s chin. Hazel hues darken as he regards the younger, heartbeat slightly faster than usual at the prospect of what’s going on right here and all this shift about to hit them in the face. Fingers slide until he cradles the vampire's side of his face, thumb smoothing over the unblemished skin of Jaemin’s cheek. The Nephilim cannot deny the effects of chemistry sparkling in his bloodstream; cannot deny that anticipation tingles and tingles and it’s not unpleasant.

   The taller moves forward, presses Jaemin against the wall and dips his head enough for lips to almost brush together. The vampire is cold and it’s such a nice contrast to his temperature that Daehyun allows his mind to wander to other places, wonder if Jaemin will feel different once his hands are over naked skin. But all thoughts halt there as the younger's back curves off the wall. Daehyun lets out a small groan as their lower halves create friction with Jaemin’s boldness.

   It’s tempting: To close his eyes and thinking and let instinct rule over reason. But that darkness glinting in pretty doe eyes is testing him. Jaemin is not his usual naive, playful self this time around. He feels bewitching, almost spellbinds the taller with a bat of large eyelashes and a teasing smile, fangs glimmering. ❛ You better don’t close your eyes, ❜ he murmurs against the vampire’s mouth, his free hand settling over the small of Jaemin’s back to bring him closer against his body. He rolls his hips forward, enough to make his breath hitch for a second. Heat coils in his belly, stirs excitement at what may follow. Daehyun drops a little kiss on pouty lips and smiles as he pulls back. ❛ Keep looking at me. ❜

   — daehyun turns to look at the werewolf, one eyebrow raised in disbelief as the tip of his tongue presses against his cheek. it isn’t hard to recognize that yes, he has use for seungjae. that's why he found him in the first place. a werewolf without a pack is like candy in the streets: suspicious and just as enticing to take. it had paid off. he had a cute pup hanging onto his every word. a cute pup who could find him shiny objects to make him being invincible and daehyun has always been obsessed with power. ❛ why are you so upset? you know nothing in life is free, not even company, ❜ his voice is silk and the venom in it, slithery. he takes a seat on the armrest as he crosses his arms, legs extending before him. ❛ do you hate me now? ❜

   Daehyun's eyes widened as he stepped into what used to be his new penthouse. The door had clear signs of being opened harshly—it's even dangling from a piece on the side and the knob was completely twisted. Inside, nothing was in a better state. The couches and decorative tables were ruined beyond repair. The windows were all broken and void of glass and the chill of the night was slipping in nonstop.

   Hazel hues then fell on the notes of ichor staining the wooden tiles. The smell was just as rancid and his heart accelerated as he hurried his steps further inside. He’d thought about this too—giving Benz a room where he could go to if something happened. His periphery vision took note on the disarray in the empty rooms and just as he turned to the right into which should be Benz’ room, some urgency finally left his body. The hidden door remained closed.

   ❛ shortie? ❜ he called, voice rough, ❛ Did you hide like I said you should? And you said I was a fucking lunatic. ❜

   Daehyun turns around, big eyes narrowing as he makes his way back to the younger man. he towers over him easily. half of his hair is red and half is blond, a strange occurrence he hasn't gotten around fixing after the young Thai said it looked good on him. how ludicrous. ❛ that’s how you want me, isn’t it? desperate, jealous, and willing to kill for you. ❜ Benz spits, eyes ablaze with fury.

   the young infernal cracks a smile because Benz really doesn’t know how much Daehyun wishes he would do it. it’s pointless to keep turning a blind eye on what he found that moment he decided to listen to curiosity. one look at the blond youth and Daehyun was sold to lust, greed, and every single sin in the book he was proud to have sworn off. here he is—intentions of power peeled off when put in the scale against his want to possess Benz’ loyalty. he wants to have his name branded on the other’s mind, play his body until it responds to Daehyun and Daehyun only. this sickness is all too-consuming Daehyun is sure he’s losing his mind.

   ❛ what if I do? ❜ he challenges, because he likes Benz’ caramel hues when he’s riled up enough Daehyun is all that stands in his line of vision. The infernal youth fell at first sight but he has never known how to have anyone. the times he ever wanted more than power, he was punished for his foolishness. but now there’s no one more powerful than he is. the demons who stole his humanity from him are dead. he’s tainted though and Benz… 

   Benz can bring out the worst of him. 

   Benz can bring out the best of him.

   it’s nerve-wracking.

   the younger attempts to shove him off but Daehyun takes both of his wrists and pins them above his head. he walks Benz backward until his back hits the wall. it’s easy to keep his arms immobilized with one hand so the other one settles on a small waist. ❛ would you do it? ❜ he questions, the tip of his nose brushing the younger’s. ❛ do you like me enough to beg for me? ❜ hazel hues darken as they fall on pink, thin lips. 

   ❛ shut up and kiss me already. ❜ 

   Daehyun clicks his tongue but his heart swells. because he’s evil, he toys with the idea of asking him to beg for it. but he cannot get rid of the heat pooling in the pit of his stomach as imagination runs will with the idea of having Benz beneath him on his bed, golden hair like a halo and features expressing his ecstasy. a smile flashes through before it gets lost in the kiss he starts.

LOUD AND DEAFENING SILENCE

 — daehyun’s sarcastic remarks are quietened in his mind. benz is dissolving into tears in their room and the nephilim has no idea of what went down — has no idea of what to say or even do. benz’ red-rimmed eyes and endless tears rolling down the apples of his cheeks tug at his heartstrings. he has seen the younger man crying before and even then, he had been too shocked to do anything. benz had calmed down on his own though and they did not bring it up. it doesn’t mean this stopped being an odd feeling, to be a witness of his grief feels like a personal affront and yet daehyun has no idea of how to solve it or keep it away. 

   of course, he knows what humans tend to do in these moments but… he is not a human, not fully. surely benz will not appreciate being coddled by daehyun, of all people, would he? isn’t the important part that people try to at least be emphatic with the person they hold? but daehyun’s reply to things that make his lungs burn like something scalding is stuck behind them, deep into his chest, is to kill the cause or bury it elsewhere and do things until his mind cannot process it anymore. daehyun closes his eyes as he tilts his head back against the wall he’s leaning into, arms crossed against his chest. 

   benz quiet sobbing becomes too much. daehyun pushes himself off the wall and walks into the room, steps sure and features schooled. it all crashes down when the younger doesn’t acknowledge his presence as he does often —with a clever remark, eyes all sparky with interest and humor. lips press into one another as he takes a seat next to the younger and before he can think more of it, long fingers bury into silky strands. he brushes benz hair until it’s a bit less messy and waits, stomach tightening and heart about to leap to his throat. 

   this silence filled with tension and pain is too much of a stranger. daehyun cannot remember the last time he cried because that carries trauma he has worked to leave behind doors that he will never open willingly —and now that's pressing against the back of his mind. is that what being empathetic is about? if things being relatable is a part of it, if being anchored by past experiences and meeting benz in the middle is part of that process, he is not sure he is ready for that.

   but he stays, mouth closed. thoughts continue to spiral into a whirlwind until the fingers that continue rubbing benz shoulders become so idle in the motion that even his train of thought eases. the weight of silence becomes less pressing. benz looks up and daehyun has no words to describe the picture his sight meets. this thing pushing against his lungs meets the longing lodged since weeks ago and the combination they make is interesting in his mouth. it dries. this reaches the parts of his soul that he thought extinct.

   daehyun’s hands reach for what he wants. he brings the smaller man into his arms until he’s fully leaning into him. benz’ hair tickles his nose pleasantly and his smell is exactly what brings him a bigger sense of ease. the natural warmth of his body pushes against the younger’s chilled frame and this feels good.  

   eventually, the moon continues its way up in the sky and midnight finds them tangled in bed. daehyun’s arms are still around the younger’s frame and benz can hear the beat of his heart breaking the disturbance of such a loud silence. the younger shifts in his embrace and daehyun lets go, eyebrows furrowing as benz reaches for a marker from the nightstand. he takes daehyun’s hand and scribbles down something on his palm. benz’ head covers it from the older’s sight but he doesn’t have to wait for long to read what his skin is sporting now.

   daehyun snorts, a smile finding its way onto his lips as his reaction is received by a mischievous grin and sparkling caramel hues. benz eyes are still a bit irritated, daehyun still doesn’t know what caused it, they still haven't exchanged any words. but benz is no longer shaking and daehyun’s is no longer plagued by the insistence of a foreign want. distance becomes shorter and shorter as benz shifts on his side until he is climbing daehyun’s body, keeping him trapped under his weight as he straddles him.  

   these seconds of shortening distance are a caress of anticipation. it flutters inside his stomach, makes fingers twitch with a need he doesn’t want to name just yet. benz looks impossibly pretty under the silver hue of moonlight slipping into their room. daehyun brushes benz’ hair off his’ forehead, the tips of his fingers tingling with his warmth. ❛ you are the dumb one, ❜ he murmurs. benz laughs.

Jinjae

Who is the most affectionate? Both are in different ways, Jinho may be a bit more vocal about it while Minjae is a bit more on the silent side; it is in part a result of Minjae thinking he is undeserving of Jinho’s love because of what he did behind his back and the secrets Minjae keeps from him to this day~ 

Who initiates the handholding? Jinho, he's already a tactile person and Minjae grew up fearing contact because of his destiny of bringing death to whoever he touches in the near future. Still, Minjae has kept quiet about this while trying to find a way to fix it. 

Who worries more for the other? Minjae. It’s not that Jinho doesn’t worry, he does because  I think he can sense Minjae is going through some inner turmoil but it doesn’t eat him away like how his illness did to Minjae. Also, now that Jinho is a werewolf, Minjae is glad that the illness is gone but he still worries about his future because immortal or slow-aging doesn’t stand a chance with death so– 

Who is more likely to ask for help? I think both have a hard time with this. They are not the type to cause others troubles intentionally and they don’t see this is a healthy way to cope with their lives so there is a lot of miscommunication because of this and because they try to help each other without asking and just assume from the look of things what’s what they can do to make the other’s life easier xD

Who is the one always losing the keys? Jinho. He’s perhaps a bit clumsy and Minjae is neat in everything he does.

Who leaves little love notes for the other? Minjae. Before they split up, Minjae was already leaving little romantic haikus in Jinho’s fridge, notes, car, you name it. He continues with this tradition and now Haneul adds some doodles to his notes uwu

Who can’t sleep unless the other is there? Minjae. He doesn’t need sleep like he did before but does it whenever Jinho is close because his presence is soothing. Without Jinho? It’s a “productive” night of angstying over things out of his hands xD

Who is more likely to propose to the other? Jinho, but only because while Minjae does want to be by his side forever, he doesn’t feel he’s good enough to ask for this ;;

Who introduced the other to their family first? Jinho did and Minjae was practically an orphan so thee’s no chance– but after Jinho met his dad, it’s an interesting exchange xD 

Who is more likely to play with the other’s hair? Minjae. He loves doting on Jinho so there is no way he won’t do this when cool hands are perfect for this haha

Who makes sure the other has meals/stays hydrated? Jinho. Minjae gets lost in his own worries and things too often and he forget eating or drinking water. It doesn’t affect him as it does to full humans but Jinho is that kind of sweetheart :3  

Who is more likely to stand up to anyone for the other? Both would be the same. Minjae already stood up to death itself to save him and Jinho would do the same if the roles were reversed :3

Who is the most likely to prepare a surprise for the other? Jinho. With Minjae being more prone to get lost on his concerns, Jinho will probably take it upon himself to cheer him up and with Haneul’s help, it’d be a complete success!

Who makes the other pinky promise not to do certain things? Jinho from Haneul’s idea uwu nothing works better than a pinky promise, or so Haneul thinks!

Who puts a blanket over the other when they fall asleep on the couch? Minjae. He always makes sure Jinho is comfy and warm, so being the last one to sleep, he makes sure his family is safe <3

Kiyeon

Who is the most affectionate? Kiha is shameless about his displays of affection while Taeyeon is more doting but discrete about it.

Who initiates the handholding? Kiha. Since Taeyeon is more discrete about things and their situation is often rocky, they probably doesn’t initiate contact even though they would like to. Kiha generally doesn’t give an f of where they stand whenever they see each other so! He will hold Taeyeon’s hand every time if he can.

Who worries more for the other? Both do but Taeyeon is often more concerned because of Kiha’s self-destructive tendencies. Kiha got drunk and high wayy too many times before to keep his head off his own issues and the fact that Taeyeon chose to do what they do so! Walking disaster.

Who is more likely to ask for help? None. Kiha’s a crybaby so he may ask for help for the stupidest things but when it matters, he probably won’t ^^; Taeyeon hates to think of putting Kiha in danger and that time they went to Kiha’s door and bleeding, they will probably regret it after the events with Liam oerhfierh 

Who is the one always losing the keys? Kiha. My kid is messy, we established that and mundane things like keys? Who needs those when you can get a copy every time you lose them xD

Who leaves little love notes for the other? Kiha. When they moved in together and after they got back and Taeyeon stayed over his, Kiha would write lines of songs he wrote to Taeyeon or songs they liked on small post-its in hot pink or equally eccentric colors and would place them everywhere Taeyeon could see them ;;

Who can’t sleep unless the other is there? Touuuugh. I think Taeyeon. Without Taeyeon, Kiha turned to his vices until he passed out so oregeirhog but Taeyeon, between their own conscience and with things being so rocky with Kiha, they probably have it tougher :(

Who is more likely to propose to the other? Kiha. He was going to propose to Taeyeon the day Taeyeon disappeared and decided to make a living as a hitman and was ready to propose again when they moved in together and got Will Ferret. That ring was his mom’s and is still in a little silver box in a safe in his room. Sometimes he takes it out to watch it while depressed after the drinking doesn’t help him forget :’)

Who introduced the other to their family first? They don’t have any remaining family, I think? But Kiha does tell his parents about Taeyeon when he visits their grave :’))  

Who is more likely to play with the other’s hair? Taeyeon. They probably think Kiha loves having his hair played with (or pulled at during the seggs) but Kiha is actually obsessed with Taeyeon’s hands so it’s more that than the other thing haha

Who makes sure the other has meals/stays hydrated? Both do. When they are in their little bubble of avoidance of the outside world, Taeyeon will probs notice Kiha doesn’t function like a normal human being because of his routine as an artist and vice versa so they try to live as normal human beings together and it's so cute to watch ;;

Who is more likely to stand up to anyone for the other? Both do but Taeyeon is more aggressive about it while Kiha is sneakier.

Who is the most likely to prepare a surprise for the other? Kiha. He loves getting surprises for Taeyeon and see them smile or having that expression they get that tells Kiha they are happy and feeling loved. 

Who makes the other pinky promise not to do certain things? Kiha would do this in high school but after their demise, this became a bittersweet thing to do that brought him too much heartache so he doesn’t do it anymore. If Taeyeon ever stops being a hitman, this would be the perfect way to make amends– haha

Who puts a blanket over the other when they fall asleep on the couch? Taeyeon. Only because Kiha falls asleep first when they are together but then Kiha drapes himself all over Taeyeon to keep them warm, safe, and right there next to him so no more danger may fall over them.

Minhyun

Who is the most affectionate? Mingyu, no contest. Jaehyun is too shy and self-conscious around Mingyu to be openly affectionate. He’s also scared of his feelings so looking like he doesn’t want any of this but ultimately snuggling next to his vampire when he gets sleepy because the fool is touch starved. 

Who initiates the handholding? Mingyu. He probably likes that Jaehyun gets all nervous and blushing with something so small but for the love of god Jaehyun cannot help his body reacts this way even though he hates it xD

Who worries more for the other? I think both do. Jaehyun worries when Mingyu gets weak because lack of decent blood and Mingyu worries because while Jaehyun may not have shared his entire plan to re-arrange the universe, he can probably tell when my boy is all anxious he's a walking minefield.

Who is more likely to ask for help? Tough. Jaehyun would never ask for help with his secret plans but! If it comes to machines and there’s something in the code he cannot figure out, he will ask Mingyu about it. Mingyu probably asks for small things like “Please bring me chips” or something but when it matters, he may have problems voicing out what he needs.

Who is the one always losing the keys? Mingyu probably? Jaehyun is too paranoid to ever lose something of his xD

Who leaves little love notes for the other? Mingyu only if it’s to piss Jaehyun off or get him all stuttering and red xD

Who can’t sleep unless the other is there? I think Mingyu doesn’t sleep? So it’d be Jaehyun though he will never admit it out loud. Mingyu can just tell if he sees Jaehyun with huge bags under his eyes the next day haha xD

Who is more likely to propose to the other? I— I think it’d be Mingyu? Though Jaehyun can have a bit of the unpredictable side and may toss the ring or prepare a fancy dinner. I’m not very sure ^^;

Who introduced the other to their family first? Jaehyun probably knows Mingyu's sister by now c: and he’s practically an orphan so no chance for Mingyu to meet his parents and the rest of Jaehyun’s paternal "family” wants him dead so, no way. 

Who is more likely to play with the other’s hair? Mingyu. Jaehyun tends to snuggle into him when he’s relaxed and warm and you can get him like that easily if you play with his hair so, it’s the most efficient way to get this smartass snoozing like a cat.

Who makes sure the other has meals/stays hydrated? Jaehyun frets over Mingyu not being properly fed because it’s the “adult” thing to keep yourself in check so he nags. A lot. Though Jaehyun forgets about his human body when he gets too immersed in his research, the hypocrite xD

Who is more likely to stand up to anyone for the other? Both would. Mingyu is quite smart (something Jaehyun adores) and does prefer to not get violent but if there’s the need, he will protect. Jaehyun hates to get involved in troubles but if Mingyu is concerned, he’s going to be one angry cat.

Who is the most likely to prepare a surprise for the other? I think it’d be Mingyu because Jaehyun is too shy so the surprises from his side would be there but scarce in comparison ofhowiroehrg

Who is the most affectionate? Benz. After the barrier they tackle, he is probably more open in his affections and teasing because 1) It always affects Daehyun, 2) Daehyun denying he’s affected is funny and endearing, 3) Daehyun slowly reacts to it by opening his arms to get Benz snuggled into them

Who initiates the handholding? Benz too, he’s set on giving Daehyun a heart attack XD

Who worries more for the other? Daehyun. He hates Benz in this universe feels the need to hide and is living afraid. He hated being afraid all those years in hell and he doesn’t want that repeating in Benz life so yeah.

Who is more likely to ask for help? Both have issues with voicing their need for help but Benz asks for this more often and easily than Daehyun does ;;

Who leaves little love notes for the other? Benz, just for the kicks of it to get Daehyun reeling. Daehyun makes them little balls of nothing and throws them in the garbage, but he keeps some sometimes haha

Who can’t sleep unless the other is there? Benz, being constantly in the run is exhausting but he’s lived this way so far and Daehyun does provide a sense of safety so it’s easier for Benz to sleep at night as time passes ;;

Who is more likely to propose to the other? TOUGH. Daehyun has no sense of marriage and stuff, but he would want to make it official somehow that Benz can’t just get up and run away from him one day (though if he does, Daehyun won’t stop him, but you know, boy has issues saying what he feels). So maybe Benz?

Who introduced the other to their family first? They become each other’s family in this verse so that’s it.  

Who is more likely to play with the other’s hair? Daehyun. After noticing this relaxes Benz, he will do it often. He also likes how his hair feels so~ win-win for both.

Who makes sure the other has meals/stays hydrated? Daehyun. Though he may be a biiiit tactless for this and constantly saying things like “if you don’t drink your milk, you will stay short, oh wait, there’s already no fixing that. But you can keep trying”, haha or things like that to get Benz a bit angry because he looks cute that way :3

Who is more likely to stand up to anyone for the other? Both would but Daehyun would be merciless about this. Make Benz cry and he will have your head on a spike in less than three seconds. 

Who is the most likely to prepare a surprise for the other? Benz, only because Daehyun is rubbish at romance and because his sense of surprise only involves violence and murder haha 

Who makes the other pinky promise not to do certain things? Benz, the look in Daehyun’s face every time this happens is priceless xD

Who puts a blanket over the other when they fall asleep on the couch? Daehyun. He cares for his shortie and has promised to keep him warm and safe uwu

you've built up some walls around you. you're careful with whom you give your heart and your trust. you feel like you're waiting for something, but you're not sure what it is. there's something telling you that there's more to life for you than what you have now. but until then, you're content to let the days pass. you're not in any rush, but some days you can't ignore the sense of restlessness that comes with waiting. you are a calm but intimidating presence.

   – the past few weeks have become a strange business. daehyun is still not sure about stars falling from the sky looking like a human but even if the male’s eyes are red, nothing of him smells demonic. it is unsettling, to say the least. even more so when he is fixed on staying near and treating daehyun as if he could see through him beyong the hatred and the centuries buried under the fire and blood of a hellhole that spit him out whole. that in itself is outrageous and yet, daehyun lets him stick close.

   there’s a quote yunho read to him once. it said in your life you will meet shooting stars. you will see them, make your wish and see them disappear. there ain’t many reasons to believe it won’t happen here, this time. but he is curious nonetheless. the wish he had asked for that one day is still buried in the depths of his memory but he can kind of remember how it had felt. that sensation that saw that wish being born hasn’t disappeared, it even became a close acquaintance.

   he narrows his eyes as the star reaches for him, concern so clear in red hues daehyun should be making a mean remark about albus wearing his heart on his sleeve. still, he keeps quiet and lets the star do as he pleases. the contact stings but it’s not like being scorched alive by the sun itself. it’s a simple, delicate touch over a bruised cheek that means no harm and isn’t that a first?

   albus opens his mouth but daehyun cuts him off. ❛ don’t bother, ❜ he warns. ❛ it looks worse than what it is. ❜ it doesn’t though. daehyun is powerful, more powerful than he has even been during all his time alive. but there are creatures who hold more tricks and power than him and it’s open season for lucifer’s little bastard. 

   ❛ if you feel so bad about me being injured, just go ahead and grant my wish. give me complete reign over hell. ❜ daehyun is being mean again, all too aware that the star has said that’s not his true first wish. it matters little to the redhead though. he rolls his eyes, arms crossing against his chest as he shiftes hazel hues towards the nightsky. ❛ you are too naive. good wishes have rarely changed anything for real. ❜
